It’s my birthday. I’m old. And I got in the mood to paint because I want the white of that canvas gone. I started working on the countertop and the reflections, and then I got real motivated to get rid of that cursed blue on the wall. Oh it felt so good to finally cover that damn blue. I used a lot of raw umber and it completely changed the mood of the painting – for the better. I put in two hours today so far, and last night I may have put in an hour. I’ve been having difficulty getting in the mood to paint. I had to stop working on this painting 6 months ago for personal reasons. It is taking some time to get back into the sensitive mindset needed to create professional paintings. But it seems like the more I do paint, the more I get motivated. Slow start, but I gradually will work my way back in. At least I hope that’s my pattern, because I have a lot of painting I want to do this year. It’s time to get noticed.
